Andrea “Andy” Kamage is Senior Patent Counsel for Johnson & Johnson in the pharmaceutical sector. Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, she spent more than a decade in private practice supporting the intellectual property needs of biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. She has represented a highly diverse client base ranging from small biotech start ups to major international brand name and generic pharmaceutical corporations, as well as universities.
Ms. Kamage has experience in patent counseling and procurement, due diligence, opinions, and licensing. She has been involved in multiple pharmaceutical patent litigations brought under the Hatch-Waxman Act.
When Andy is not thinking about patents, she enjoys playing ice hockey and performing stand-up comedy.
