Welcome to the New Jersey Intellectual Property Law Association
The protection of intellectual property including patents, trademarks and copyrights is essential to the progress and promotion of the useful arts. The New Jersey Intellectual Property Law Association (NJIPLA), comprising over 300 practicing intellectual property attorneys, patent agents, law students, and interested individuals from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut, is devoted to educating its members and the public about intellectual property and protection thereof, through federal, state and common law.
A full calendar of events, including dinner meetings with guest speakers and seminars concerning intellectual property litigation and chemical/pharmaceutical patent practice, is offered to address the many interests of the membership. A highlight of each NJIPLA year is the annual Jefferson Medal Dinner, during which the NJIPLA awards its Jefferson Medal to a person who has made exceptional contributions to the field of patents, trademarks, or copyrights.
We invite new members and encourage their participation in the numerous and rewarding activities of NJIPLA.
